Thung Song Hong:On his first night in detention at Thung Song Hong Police Station, Mr. Achariya Ruangratanapong, president of the Crime Victims Assistance Association, showed no signs of stress. He was arrested by cyber police on charges including fraud against the public, violation of the Computer Crime Act, money laundering, and illegal gambling on boxing matches.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Achariya did not eat breakfast, explaining that he was not hungry. His demeanor was reportedly normal, and he made no special requests during his time in custody. Colonel Dr. Thawatchai Kanjanarin, a former surgeon, attempted to visit him, but was unable to do so as visiting hours for the morning had ended.
Later in the day, four friends from the boxing community visited Mr. Achariya, bringing him rice with crispy pork, a fried egg, and medication for high blood pressure. They also brought documents for him to sign. Their visit lasted an hour. Mr. Achariya declined to provide an interview, mentioning only that they had a normal conversation and he did not request anything special. He is scheduled to appear in court tomorrow morning.
