Bangkok: Anucha Burapachaisri, the Democrat Party's candidate for Bangkok Governor, has intensified his election campaign with a focus on the "Bangkok Vision" initiative. Accompanied by party leader Abhisit Vejjajiva and other party executives, Anucha campaigned in Bang Na and Phra Khanong, highlighting the integration of AI in traffic management and flood control. This evening, the campaign will culminate in a speech and discussion event at Park Silom, aimed at rekindling hope for Bangkok residents.
According to Thai News Agency, Anucha, along with key party figures such as Sakoltee Phatthiyakul, Ongart Klamphaiboon, Trisit Siriwan, and Siwaroj Saengcharasochot, engaged with local vendors and shoppers at Wat Wachiratham Sathit Worawihan and Mahasin Market. The interaction focused on gathering insights into local issues to develop comprehensive urban policies. Anucha addressed the enduring problem of garbage odor, proposing an upgrade to the On Nut waste disposal center to a 100% closed system with odor monitoring. He also advocated for converting waste into energy and incentivizing waste separation.
In response to flooding concerns, Anucha proposed the use of AI-powered systems for floodgate and pumping station operations to enhance water drainage. Traffic flow improvement strategies include AI-controlled traffic lights and a feeder bus service connected to the Green Line Skytrain.
For public health, Anucha suggested increasing public health centers and personnel for better primary and dental care. He also proposed a unified patient database system to ease the travel burden for the elderly and collaboration with the NHSO for proactive community health care.
Anucha's evening event at Park Silom will further elaborate on the "Bangkok Vision," which aims to address fundamental issues and transform the city under the theme "Bangkok can be more than this."
