Anutin and Settha Hold Heart-to-Heart Talk at Government House

Bangkok: Anutin and Settha's relationship remains unchanged; they held a heart-to-heart talk at Government House. The Prime Minister revealed after a meeting with Settha Inthra at Khu Fah Building that their relationship remains unchanged, with ongoing meetings and exchanges of views, and that he is always open to advice on economics and business.

According to Thai News Agency, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul spoke about his meeting with former Prime Minister Settha Thavisin at Government House, stating that they had spoken before Mr. Settha received an honorary award for initiating 'Thailand Zero Dropout' during his time as Prime Minister. This project helped provide education and opportunities for abandoned Thai children and youth. Later, during his tenure, he continued the project, recognizing its positive impact, with Pol. Gen. Permpoon Chidchob serving as the project's chairman.

The Prime Minister reiterated that any beneficial project, regardless of which government initiated it, the government is ready to continue for the best interests of the people.

When asked if they had discussed any specific topics, such as politics, the Prime Minister said that since Mr. Settha left the position of Prime Minister, they had met on many occasions. They have always had a good relationship, having known each other since university, so it's normal to discuss anything. Furthermore, Mr. Settha has given him advice on many matters due to his expertise in economics and business perspectives, hence they communicate regularly.

Reporters reported that when Mr. Settha arrived at Government House at 3:15 PM, he took photos with ministers from the Pheu Thai Party and Pol. Gen. Permpoon Chidchob, Chairman of the National Committee for the Resolution of Problems of Out-of-School Children and Youth (NCPRCY), in front of a backdrop before walking up to the Thai Khu Fah building to meet with Mr. Anutin, who then escorted Mr. Settha to his office.

Then, at 3:30 PM, Mr. Anutin and Mr. Settha walked down from the Thai Khu Fah building together, smiling, to join an event at the Phakdi Bodin building. Mr. Anutin turned to the reporters and asked, "Who is this?" pointing to Mr. Settha, before Mr. Anutin and Mr. Settha went to sit together.

This marks the first time in almost two years, since August 14, 2024, that Mr. Settha has entered Government House after leaving his position.
