Anutin Asserts Interior Ministry’s Preparedness for Border Emergencies

Ubon Ratchathani: "Anutin" confirms that the Interior Ministry is ready if an emergency occurs in the border area, emphasizing the use of the network of village headmen to publicize to the public. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul spoke about the preparation for taking care of the people in case of an emergency in the border area of Nam Yuen District, Ubon Ratchathani Province, saying that the Ministry of Interior, the provincial governor, the district chief, and related persons are taking care of the safety of the people in Thailand. He confirmed that there is currently readiness in terms of food, evacuation centers, medicine, and an announcement for people to move out of the danger zone. As for negotiations, the preparation of the forces is a matter for the security sector, the military, the Ministry of Defense, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Anutin also emphasized that he will use the dimensions of the village headmen to help with public relations, using all networks, so the provincial governor is in the area all the time.
