Arrest of young rider selling illegal guns online

Arrest of a young rider selling illegal firearms and ammunition online, seizing 75 items of evidence, confessing that he likes guns and therefore sells them. On October 22, 2024 at approximately 2:30 p.m., the second task force led by Pol. Lt. Col. Panrampha Phatthanawat, Superintendent of the Crime Suppression Division, along with officers from the second task force jointly arrested Mr. Wongkorn or (Nook), the accused, for the offense of possessing a firearm without permission and possessing ammunition without permission, along with 75 items of evidence, including firearms, ammunition, account books, and other items. The arrest was made at Soi Prachasongkhro 23, Ratchadaphisek Subdistrict, Din Daeng District, Bangkok. The incident occurred from a review of illegal gun sales on YouTube under the account name 'Banker', with a post with a link and Line ID so that interested people could order guns and ammunition. Later, the arresting police officers collected evidence, investigated news and information about guns, and requested a search warrant from the Criminal Court after finding a room on the 4th floor of Soi Prachasongkhro 23, Ratchadaphisek Subdistrict, Din Daeng District, Bangkok, where illegal guns and ammunition were being stored for sale. Later on October 22 at approximately 2:30 p.m., the arresting police officers used a search warrant to search the room and found Mr. Wongkorn inside. The search found firearms and more than 1,401 rounds of ammunition. The arresting officer confirmed that all the evidence belonged to him. He normally works as a rider, but he enjoys making firearms, so he makes and sells them to the public via YouTube.
