London: Arsenal, the reigning Premier League champions, are planning a major squad overhaul and are targeting Julian Alvarez, the Argentinian international striker from Atletico Madrid, to bolster their attack.
According to Thai News Agency, The Independent, a British newspaper, reports that Arsenal hopes to sign Alvarez, who recently scored a stunning goal to help Argentina beat Switzerland 3-1 in extra time in the 2026 World Cup quarter-finals, before the end of pre-season. This comes after several clubs that had previously shown interest in the 26-year-old striker have largely withdrawn from the deal.
