Hat yai: BAM has launched a three-month debt repayment suspension measure to assist customers impacted by recent flooding in the southern region, particularly in Hat Yai District. The initiative is part of a broader effort by BAM to support affected customers, employees, and communities, providing urgent relief tailored to the severity of each case.
According to Thai News Agency, Dr. Rak Vorakitpokathorn, CEO of Bangkok Commercial Asset Management Public Company Limited (BAM), emphasized the company’s commitment to addressing the challenges faced by those affected by the floods. BAM is actively coordinating with regional offices to tackle issues related to housing, livelihoods, and daily life disruptions. The company is conducting surveys to assess the hardship endured by customers, particularly those restructuring debt or purchasing BAM properties on installments, urging them to report their situations to the head office for prompt evaluation and support.
The initiative also extends to local employees who are experiencing difficulties. BAM is encouraging these employees to communicate their needs to the head office, which will consider providing assistance, including housing, basic necessities, and welfare for home repairs. Dr. Rak highlighted that unaffected regional offices have been directed to offer initial support, with the possibility of further assistance, such as easing debt repayment conditions, pending approval to alleviate the hardship faced by customers.
