Songkhla: The Prime Minister leads a delegation to Songkhla for the third time, mobilizing all forces to assist Hat Yai. The Prime Minister, Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, along with several key government officials, embarked on a mission to address the ongoing flooding crisis in Hat Yai City. The delegation, fully equipped with consumer goods and jet skis, arrived aboard a C130 aircraft to provide immediate assistance and support to the affected areas.
According to Thai News Agency, the delegation included prominent figures such as Mr. Surasak Pancharoenworakul, Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation, Mr. Chad Thaiset, Chief Government Whip, and Ms. Traisulee Traisornkul, Secretary-General to the Prime Minister. The team is actively involved in monitoring and commanding the flood relief efforts and is visiting various relief centers to offer moral support to the residents.
The Prime Minister personally ensured the provision of necessary equipment, including jet skis and drivers, to aid in the relief operations. Despite not giving any press interviews upon departure, he warmly greeted the press with a smile.
The delegation’s itinerary included a departure from Don Mueang Airport to Hat Yai Airport, followed by a helicopter journey to the 42nd Military Circle. There, they held a meeting to assess and manage the flood situation before visiting the Royal Kitchen and Field Kitchen to encourage the staff involved in relief efforts.
Further, the Prime Minister and his team traveled by car to the temporary shelter at the Prince of Songkla University Sports Center, where they offered support to those displaced by the disaster. Their mission continued with visits to various communities within Hat Yai Municipality, demonstrating their commitment to providing aid and support during this challenging time.
