Bangkok’s Future in Voter’s Hands as Election Day Approaches

Bangkok: Dr. Joe, alongside Thanathorn, campaigned vigorously in the Bang Bon and Bang Khun Thian districts, emphasizing that Bangkok's future lies in the people's hands. They encouraged voters to exercise their right to vote for change and strive for a better Bangkok in the upcoming election on June 28.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Chaiwat Sathavorawichit, candidate number 10 for Bangkok Governor from the People's Party, campaigned at the Thonburi 3 housing community with Mr. Khemachat Chattrastrat, candidate for Bangkok City Council member in Bang Bon district, number 3, and at Phra Pin 5 Village with Ms. Atsana Charasuriyapong, candidate for Bangkok City Council member in Bang Khun Thian district, number 4. Mr. Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit, his campaign assistant, was also present to engage with the public.

Mr. Chaiwat highlighted that this campaign visit to support the Bangkok City Council candidates in the two districts marks the final phase before the election. The People's Party aims to present its policies and show its dedication to improving the quality of life for Bangkok residents. He prompted the public to reflect on whether they are truly willing to accept their current living conditions in the city.

Although the election results on February 8th did not meet the party's expectations, the People's Party received significant trust from the Bangkok populace. Mr. Chaiwat expressed that the results of the recent Bangkok parliamentary elections indicate a strong desire for change among many people who believe that Thailand can improve with a government from the People's Party.

Mr. Chaiwat further stated that despite this election being at a different level than the previous one, he believes the public will be contemplating whether to continue living as they are or to vote for a better city. He envisions a Bangkok where life, transportation, business, and family support are easier, and where corruption is absent so that taxes benefit all residents.

The People's Party has consistently advocated for a transformative vision for Bangkok throughout the election campaign. Mr. Chaiwat assured that the party's executive team, the 50 Bangkok City Council candidates, and he are committed to representing those who oppose the status quo and desire a Bangkok that embraces all its residents, cares for its people, and ensures equitable opportunities.

With only seven days remaining, Mr. Chaiwat concluded by urging Bangkok residents to exercise their voting rights on Sunday, June 28th. He emphasized that this is an opportunity for citizens to collectively decide the city's future for the next four years and work alongside the People's Party to realize the vision of a better Bangkok.
