“Omega 9” is a type of fatty acid. Found a lot in food But they are not classified as essential fatty acids for the body. Because the body can synthesize it on its own without needing to get it from food.
Eating omega-9 fatty acids will help reduce bad fat (Low-density Lipoprotein: LDL), total fat (Total Cholesterol), and may increase good fat (High Density Lipoprotein: HDL), which can be obtained from exercise. But let exercise be the main thing that helps increase HDL and not eat omega 9 in the hope of increasing HDL only.
Additionally, oleic acid, an omega-9 fatty acid, is said to help improve insulin sensitivity. But there is still insufficient scientific evidence to say that consuming omega-9 fatty acids will prevent the development of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and cardiovascular disease.
