Bangkok: The 1st Army Region deployed infantry troops and wheeled armored vehicles to secure the area around Bueng Takuan checkpoint in Ta Phraya district, Sa Kaeo province. They cleared obstacles, checked security, and planted the Thai national flag to clearly demonstrate Thai sovereignty.
According to Thai News Agency, reports from the Thai-Cambodian border in Ta Phraya District, Sa Kaeo Province, indicate that the 1st Army Region has launched an offensive operation, deploying infantry and wheeled armored vehicles to control the area around the Bueng Takuan border crossing, located opposite the Ban Ta Phraya trade checkpoint, following continued tensions over the past several days.
Upon access to the area, obstacles were cleared, security checks were conducted, and the Thai national flag was planted to clearly indicate sovereignty. Concertina barbed wire fencing was also installed, expanding the defensive perimeter into a controlled zone to deter incursions and ensure the safety of officials and the Thai community.
