Cabinet approves budget to compensate MEA and PEA for electricity costs

Government House, Cabinet approves compensation budget for MEA and PEA, totaling 1,939 million baht, to subsidize electricity bills for January-April 2024, reducing the burden of electricity bills for the public. Ms. Ratklao Intawong Suwannakiri, deputy government spokeswoman, revealed that the cabinet meeting approved the Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA) and the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) to spend 1,939 million baht, using the central budget for 2024 to reduce the burden of electricity costs for the public, with 356 million baht for the MEA and 1,583 million baht for the PEA, with the MEA and PEA disbursing the money from the Budget Bureau (B.B.B.)
