Bangkok: Attakorn confirmed that Cambodian national athletes have withdrawn from the 33rd SEA Games, hosted by Thailand, but this will not affect the competition schedule. Mr. Atthakorn Sirilatthayakon, Minister of Tourism and Sports, confirmed the withdrawal. He stated that despite the absence of Cambodian athletes, the competition schedule will remain unchanged.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Sirilatthayakon expressed confidence that the various sports associations can manage the situation effectively. He reassured stakeholders that the competition can proceed smoothly without any disruptions. The decision by Cambodia to withdraw was acknowledged, but efforts are in place to ensure that the games continue as planned.
