Bangkok: Candles are being lit at Wat Phra Si Sa Laksi, Bang Khen. Large numbers of people gathered to participate in the candlelit procession ceremony on an important Buddhist holiday at Wat Phra Sri Mahathat Woramahawihan in Lak Si District, Bang Khen, Bangkok. The atmosphere was lively and filled with the power of faith.
According to Thai News Agency, since yesterday evening, Buddhists from the local area and nearby regions, including families, groups of friends, and young people, have been arriving to make merit, pay respects to the main Buddha image, and participate in the circumambulation ceremony around the Phra Chedi Sri Mahathat for good fortune in their lives.
The temple has set up screening points and provided various facilities, including areas for placing flowers, incense, and candles, and managing traffic around the area to accommodate the continuous influx of people throughout the night.
