Bangkok: The Commissioner General of Police has mandated comprehensive assistance for six border patrol officers who sustained injuries during recent clashes at the Thai-Cambodian border. The directive includes ensuring preparedness among personnel when facing threats.
According to Thai News Agency, on December 9, 2025, Pol. Lt. Gen. Chaitpoj Suwannarak, Commander of the Personnel Office and Deputy Spokesperson of the Royal Thai Police, announced that Pol. Gen. Kittirat Phanphet, Commissioner General of the Royal Thai Police, has instructed that the officers receive immediate and full support, encompassing medical treatment and benefits.
The injured officers are identified as Sub-Lieutenant Supachai Niamthiang, Deputy Inspector of Patrol Division, Border Patrol Police Division 22; Sergeant Major Plangkoon Mokcharoen, Squad Leader, Border Patrol Police Division 22; Sergeant Major Sittisak Panthachai, Squad Leader, Border Patrol Police Division 22; Sergeant Major Rujthon Danonthisorn, Squad Leader, Border Patrol Police Division 22; Police Corporal Sittichai Bungthong, Squad Leader, Border Patrol Police Division 22; and Police Constable Kamphol Saengchansee, Squad Leader, Border Patrol Police Division 12. All are reported to be in stable condition and receiving close medical supervision.
Pol. Lt. Gen. Chaitpoj further conveyed that the Commissioner General emphasized his concern for the officers committed to safeguarding national sovereignty. Pol. Lt. Gen. Rungroj Thakoonpunyasiri, Commander of the Border Patrol Police, has been tasked with visiting the injured officers to offer care, support, and boost their morale. Additionally, commanders have been instructed to ensure the officers’ medical treatment is closely monitored and to expedite their access to all entitled welfare and benefits.
