Lopburi: A mother wept as she received the body of her disabled son, who was brutally shot dead near a garbage dump. She declared she would not forgive the killer and that no one should come to apologize at the funeral. The court has issued an arrest warrant for the gunman, and authorities are urgently searching for him to bring him to justice.
According to Thai News Agency, following the horrific shooting death of 41-year-old Anan near a garbage dump, his mother, 59-year-old Wasana, and family members have retrieved his body from the Forensic Institute to be taken to Wat Nong Khaem in Tha Khae Subdistrict, Lopburi Province for funeral rites. The first night of funeral prayers was held last night, and the cremation date has not yet been set.
As Mr. Anan's lifeless body arrived at the temple, the atmosphere was filled with sorrow. His mother, Mrs. Wasana, wept continuously, declaring that she would never forgive the perpetrator and that they should not even bother to come and pay their respects at the funeral. She also pleaded with the authorities to arrest the perpetrator and bring them to justice quickly.
Relatives confirmed that the deceased never had any conflicts with anyone. Reporters traveled back to the landfill, the scene of the incident, and spoke with Mr. Beer, 39, a relative of the deceased, Mr. Anan, or Kak, who was collecting personal belongings and valuables that were left behind.
Mr. Beer stated that Gak, being disabled, never usually had any conflicts with anyone. He admitted that the deceased was involved with drugs and that this location was a drug den. Regarding the shooting that resulted in a death, he believes it was likely a case of mistaken identity.
The court has approved an arrest warrant for the ruthless gunman. Police Region 1 and Lopburi Provincial Police have identified the gunman as Mr. Thanadech, or Tong, 44 years old. The Lopburi Provincial Court has issued an arrest warrant for him on charges of "intentional homicide, possession of firearms and ammunition without a permit, carrying a firearm in a city, village, or public place without reasonable cause, and firing a gun without justification in a city, village, or community."
The suspect is currently on the run. A special police task force has been deployed to the area to search for Thanadech's hiding place and that of his accomplices for questioning. It is expected that they will be apprehended soon.
