Bangkok: The Democrat Party has officially designated Dr. Jenjira Rattanaphian as its spokesperson and initiated the formation of a committee to select 11 Members of Parliament (MPs). This development was part of the discussions led by Mr. Chalermchai Sri-on, the Leader of the Democrat Party and Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, alongside Mr. Decha Isara Khaothong, the Secretary-General of the Party and Deputy Minister of Public Health, during the Democrat Party’s 2025 Annual General Meeting.
According to Thai News Agency, the meeting’s agenda included the approval of the party’s performance report for the previous calendar year and the financial statement for 2024, in alignment with Section 43 and Section 61 of the 2017 Political Party Act as mandated by the Election Commission. The party’s quorum elected the new party spokesperson and MP candidate selection committee members.
Dr. Jenjira Rattanaphian was officially elected as the party spokesperson during the general meeting. The newly formed MP candidate selection committee includes Mr. Naris Khamnurak, Mr. Pramuan Phongthawaradet, Mr. Thara Pitutecha, Mr. Chawalit Rattanasutthikun, Pol. Col. Phinyo Pomstatit, Mr. Mekhin Eiamsat, Mr. Prachuap Singkrat, Mr. Jitti Chetchu, Mr. Worawut Sukkhwan, Ms. Khanitha Niphakesom, and Mr. Kunladet Puapattanakun.
Mr. Chalermchai concluded the meeting by expressing gratitude to the former party leaders, executive committee members, MPs, former MPs, party representatives, and members nationwide who attended. He emphasized his commitment to revitalizing the Democrat Party, stating that despite future challenges, the party’s primary goal is to return stronger.
