Phuket: Two Deputy Ministers of Interior visited Patong Walking Street to listen to business concerns and set a goal to "remove old regulations to make Phuket an attractive investment destination." General Peerapong Suwannachawi and Mr. Worasit Liengprasit, along with their delegation, engaged with local business operators to understand their challenges and formulate policy directives aimed at Phuket's development.

According to Thai News Agency, the visit by Mr. Worasit and General Peerapong was intended to gather firsthand information from business operators, which will be used to inform policy decisions for officials. The primary objective is to foster an environment conducive to business operations, ensuring that businesses and citizens in Phuket can operate without facing undue hardships or exploitation. The ultimate aim is to achieve optimal outcomes for the province of Phuket.

Mr. Worasit highlighted that while some issues in the area are still being adjusted to ensure legal compliance, the overarching goal is to maintain a transparent and current regulatory system. He noted that some laws and regulations have been in place for over 10-20 years and require modernization to align with present economic and social conditions. The government's focus is on updating these regulations to facilitate easier compliance for citizens and businesses, ensuring all processes are conducted accurately and transparently.
