Deputy Prime Minister and Education Ministers Attend Funeral Rites for Thepsirin Nonthaburi School Tragedy Victim

Bangkok: Deputy Prime Minister Yotsanun Wongsawat, Minister of Education Prasert Chantruangthong, and Deputy Secretary-General to the Prime Minister Suksit Srijomkhwan attended the funeral rites for Napat, a victim of the tragic incident at Thepsirin Nonthaburi School, to offer condolences to the bereaved family.

According to Thai News Agency, the officials, along with executives from related agencies, gathered at the service to honor Napat Chaima, a young girl who was the ninth fatality in the incident that occurred on August 7th. Upon arrival, Mr. Yotsanun and his team spoke with the family and relatives, offering condolences and expressing their sorrow over the loss. They also laid wreaths to pay respects to the deceased.

The tragic event unfolded when a student from Thepsirin Nonthaburi School used a firearm against teachers and fellow students on the school grounds, causing multiple injuries and fatalities. This incident has caused profound sorrow for the families of the victims and has impacted society deeply. Furthermore, His Majesty the King has graciously granted royal patronage to the funerals of the deceased.
