Thongsak awaits discussions with fellow ministers named in the allegations before deciding his next steps regarding the potential lawsuit.
According to Thai News Agency, Thongsak expressed that the inclusion of his name among those allegedly involved in the Senate collusion case has caused him harm, and he believes legal measures are necessary. The case, which supposedly involves illegal activities, has put Thongsak and others in the spotlight, prompting them to seek legal recourse to protect their reputations.
Thongsak refrained from commenting on whether the allegations were politically motivated. However, he emphasized the need for legal proceedings if defamatory remarks result in damage. The Bhumjaithai Party's legal team is poised to act in accordance with the law, as several party members have been implicated.
Thongsak mentioned that while he recently became aware of the allegations, he maintains he has no involvement in the case. He has initiated conversations with the other mentioned ministers to assess whether the statements have been offensive or damaging.
