Election Commission Conducts Surprise Inspection at Pattaya City School 2

Bangkok: The Election Commission visited Pattaya City School 2, with participants from the Police Officer Training Course Level 2 joining as observers. At 8:00 AM on June 28, 2026, Mr. Anan Suwannarat, Election Commissioner, along with Mr. Atsathai Rattandilok Na Phuket, Advisor to the Election Commission, Mr. Nampol Ngernnamchok, Expert at the Election Commission, Pol. Lt. Col. Dechpol Kosnan, Director of the Institute of Political Party and Election Studies, and their team, traveled to the area to conduct a surprise inspection and observe the smooth running of the opening of polling stations and the voting process for the Pattaya City Council and Pattaya Mayor elections at Pattaya City School 2, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province.

According to Thai News Agency, the purpose of this field visit by the Election Commission members and their team was to closely monitor the work of the polling station committees, listen to information regarding problems and obstacles in their operations in the area, and observe the process of citizens coming to vote. This is to ensure that all stages of the local election process in Pattaya City proceed smoothly, within the framework of the law and the principles of honesty, transparency, neutrality, and fairness in elections.

Furthermore, the Election Commission of Thailand, through the Institute of Political Party and Election Studies, has incorporated this activity into its curriculum. Participants in the 2nd cohort of the Political Leadership Development in a Democratic System (PLD.2) were taken on field observation trips to gain firsthand experience and study the election management process in a real-world setting.

The Election Commission of Thailand (ECT) invites all eligible voters in Pattaya to fulfill their duty by electing members of the Pattaya City Council and the Mayor of Pattaya on Sunday, June 28, 2026. Polling stations will be open continuously from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM at the polling station where your name is registered.
