Flood Alert Issued for Lablae District Amid Rising Water Levels

Lablae: Residents are warned to be vigilant for flooding in Lablae District, Uttaradit Province. The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) has issued a warning to areas in Lablae District, Uttaradit Province, and surrounding areas to be vigilant for flash floods and landslides following heavy rainfall and continuously rising water levels in various reservoirs.

According to Thai News Agency, heavy rainfall in Uttaradit Province has caused water levels in various reservoirs to rise continuously. Water levels in the Mae Phool and Mae Phrong streams have risen significantly, and the water is muddy and reddish, carrying sediment and mud from the mountains. The highest accumulated rainfall was recorded in Mae Phool Subdistrict, Lablae District, at 122.8 mm.

The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation has issued a warning to the Laplae district and surrounding areas, urging residents to be vigilant for flash floods, landslides, and overflowing rivers in low-lying areas and on slopes, especially in the sub-districts of Mae Phul, Hua Dong, Fai Luang, Sri Phanommat, Chai Chumphon, Thung Yang, and Phai Lom. Residents are advised to move belongings to higher ground, relocate vehicles, secure valuables and important documents, take precautions against electric shock, and care for vulnerable groups.
