Racha thewa: "Songchai Nokkhamin" attended the Racha Thewa Subdistrict Administrative Organization council meeting as spokesperson for the Subdistrict Chief, notably wearing an electronic monitoring (EM) bracelet.
According to Thai News Agency, the Facebook page of the Racha Thewa Subdistrict Administrative Organization (SAO) Public Relations department published photos of the council meeting, which took place yesterday. These photos captured Mr. Songchai Nokkamin, who previously served as the Racha Thewa SAO chairman from Bang Phli District, Samut Prakan Province, participating in the meeting in his role as the SAO chairman's spokesperson.
Mr. Songchai is currently embroiled in several legal cases initiated by the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC). The NACC has forwarded these cases to the Attorney General for prosecution. The most recent allegations against him involve misconduct in a project aimed at upgrading streetlights to include Kinnari sculptures along Highway 3256 (King Kaew Road) in Samut Prakan province. For this, the Criminal Court for Corruption and Misconduct Region 1 sentenced him to 10 years imprisonment. However, he was granted bail set at 600,000 baht while awaiting an appeal. Additionally, Mr. Songchai is under restrictions that prevent him from traveling abroad and mandate the wearing of the EM device.
