Koh samui: Three French family members, including a father and his two sons, were successfully rescued after getting lost at sea while riding a rented jet ski near Chaweng Beach in Koh Samui, Surat Thani Province.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Amorn Chumchuay, District Chief of Koh Samui, Surat Thani Province, spearheaded the search operation. The family went missing after their jet ski excursion yesterday evening. In response, authorities deployed two speedboats and ten jet skis in a coordinated search effort.
The search team discovered the family floating at sea at 10:30 AM today. The tourists were found exhausted from their ordeal but were safely brought ashore. They received immediate care and an initial assessment by relevant agencies. The family is now reported to be safe.
