Government Launches Volunteer Development Program for Graduates

Bangkok: The government is inviting Bachelor's degree graduates to apply for the 78th "Volunteer Development" program, offering a monthly salary of 15,000 baht. Applications are open until July 17, 2026.

According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Ploytalay Laksmisangchan, Deputy Spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, announced that the Department of Community Development under the Ministry of Interior is recruiting young individuals with Bachelor's degrees to instill a sense of idealism and volunteerism. The initiative aims to engage these graduates in community missions and drive sustainable development in their hometowns.

Interested applicants must be Thai nationals, at least 18 years old by the application deadline, and possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification recognized by the Civil Service Commission (CSC). Applications are being accepted from July 13-17, 2026, during official working hours. Documents can be submitted in person at any Provincial Community Development Office across the country.

Selected candidates will begin their tenure on October 1, 2026, continuing until September 30, 2027, with the possibility of earning a special bonus of 5,000 baht and a certificate of merit upon successful completion and evaluation of their performance. The program seeks to utilize these volunteers as catalysts for community development, aligning with strategic policies and missions set forth by the Ministry of Interior and community development groups.

Ms. Ploytalay emphasized that this opportunity allows graduates to gain valuable experience while contributing to the enhancement of local communities and the grassroots economy, ultimately aiming to improve the quality of life for residents.
