Hanuman Special Operations Unit Extradites Notorious Scammer to China

Bangkok: Hanuman Special Operations Unit arrests “Che Zhijiang,” a key scammer, and sends him to Chinese authorities for legal action. Today, the Hanuman Special Operations Unit participated in the mission to extradite Che Zhijiang, the godfather of Shwe Kokko, to Chinese authorities after the Court of Appeals upheld the lower court’s ruling to extradite him to China.

According to Thai News Agency, Che Zhijiang was previously arrested by Chinese authorities on charges of establishing and operating a transnational online gambling website, laundering proceeds from illegal activities, and jointly organizing a criminal syndicate and establishing front companies in multiple countries. The suspect allegedly used Myanmar as a front for his transnational online gambling business, generating a turnover of over 280 million yuan and laundering over 150 million yuan abroad.

Today, Pol. Lt. Gen. Jiraphop Phuridet, Assistant Commissioner-General of the Royal Thai Police and Deputy Director of the Police Crime Suppression Division (PCSD), along with the Hanuman CIB Special Operations Unit, escorted Mr. Che Zhijiang from prison to the Suvarnabhumi Police Station’s holding room for further legal proceedings.
