Iran and Israel Agree to Temporary Ceasefire Amid Tensions

Jerusalem: Iran and Israel have announced a suspension of military operations and an end to retaliatory attacks following a rapid escalation of their conflict. This came after Iran launched missile strikes on northern Israeli areas and several air bases in retaliation for its military operations in Lebanon. Israel immediately responded with air strikes targeting Iranian air defense systems.

According to Thai News Agency, the decision to end the violence came after U.S. President Donald Trump called for a ceasefire from both sides. There are currently no reports of fatalities from the incident.

Although the situation has begun to ease, both countries continue to issue fierce warnings. Iran's main military command stated that it had retaliated severely to teach Israel a lesson, and declared that if Israel does not cease its aggressive behavior in southern Lebanon, it will face a much more violent and decisive response. Meanwhile, Israel, through local media, reported that the ceasefire with Iran was only at the request of the US leader, but that its plan to suppress southern Lebanon will continue with maximum intensity.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made his first televised statement since the incident, explaining that the offensive against Iran had been temporarily suspended because the latter had agreed to cease firing missiles at Israel. However, the Israeli leader concluded by warning that if Tehran made a mistake and attempted a second attack on Israel, the Israeli military would be prepared to retaliate with full force and force immediately.
