Kla Tham Party Inspects Lat Phrao Brewery Following Fatal Fire

Bangkok: Captain Thamanat Phromphao, leader of the Kla Tham Party, has directed Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Thanakrit Chittra-areerat and his team from the party's Complaints Center to conduct a thorough inspection of the Lat Phrao Brewery area. This initiative comes in the wake of a devastating fire that resulted in 27 fatalities.

According to Thai News Agency, the inspection uncovered several irregularities, particularly concerning the building's construction permits. Questions have been raised about whether the establishment was properly licensed to operate as a restaurant until midnight and whether it adhered to safety standards, especially regarding flammable materials. The investigation aims to identify the cause of death of the patrons and evaluate the relevant laws and agencies responsible for providing compensation.

The Kla Tham Party has highlighted the necessity of addressing these recurring incidents in Bangkok's entertainment venues. The party stressed the importance of prosecuting both business owners and the state for any wrongdoing, reinforcing the call for preventative measures and stringent permit verification to avert future tragedies.
