Bangkok: Mallika promotes a 'study while working' strategy to help 400 schools in Bangkok generate real income using AI and digital technology. Dr. Mallika Boonmeetrakul Mahasuk, candidate for Bangkok Governor number 14, visited teachers, students, and parents at Don Mueang Air Force School in Don Mueang District. She announced her education and lifelong learning strategy, aiming to elevate the school beyond just a place to learn, transforming it into a space for skills development, income generation, and future career opportunities for Bangkok's youth.
According to Thai News Agency, Dr. Mallika stated that the modern world is changing rapidly, and children and young people should not wait until they graduate to start working. Instead, they should have the opportunity to learn how to generate income and pursue careers while still in school, using digital technology as a key tool.
"Bangkok students need to have self-sufficiency skills from a young age, whether it's becoming a creator, producing content, selling online, affiliate marketing, using AI to build businesses, programming, graphic design, or working on various digital platforms. This will help them generate supplementary income and gain real-world experience before entering university and the job market."
Dr. Mallika's educational strategic plan will utilize over 400 schools under the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration as a base to drive lifelong human development, comprising:
Smart School and AI Learning integrates AI technology to enhance teaching and learning, improving digital skills, language abilities, and critical thinking to prepare students for the new economy. It also establishes Creator School Bangkok, offering courses to cultivate professional creators, online media producers, YouTubers, TikTokers, podcasters, and digital communicators.
Bangkok Affiliate Academy teaches online marketing, affiliate marketing, creating online stores, and using e-commerce platforms to generate income legitimately.
The AI Career Lab trains students in using AI for work, business creation, data analysis, and developing new innovations. Skill Up Bangkok promotes future career skills such as programming, digital marketing, graphic design, video editing, and online business.
Lifelong Learning Center transforms schools into community learning centers, providing opportunities for people of all ages to learn more after school and on weekends.
School to Startup creates a collaborative network between schools, universities, businesses, and the private sector to foster the emergence of new entrepreneurs. The One Student One Skill initiative ensures that every student possesses at least one skill that can be developed into a career and generate real income.
Dr. Mallika stated that Bangkok must become a "city of lifelong learning" that provides equal access to modern knowledge for children, youth, and people of all ages. She emphasized that if entrusted by the public, she will accelerate the development of all 400 Bangkok-affiliated schools into centers for human resource development, job creation, career development, and innovation, making Bangkok a truly city of opportunity for all. She added that other schools nationwide can use this model, as in today's technological era, nothing stands still, and children need to develop faster than in previous generations.
"Education is not just about passing exams, but it must be a tool for building the future, creating careers, and improving the quality of life for everyone in Bangkok," said Dr. Mallika.
