In the 50th minute, South Korean goalkeeper Kim Seung-gil fumbled the ball, allowing Luis Romo to score, giving Mexico a 1-0 lead. This proved to be the winning goal, securing a 1-0 victory for Mexico. Mexico now has 6 points from two games and guarantees qualification to the knockout stage.
