Manchester:Despite a thrilling 3-2 comeback victory over AS Roma, Manchester United manager Michael Carrick remains unconcerned about his job security, emphasizing the challenges of the upcoming Premier League season.
According to Thai News Agency, Carrick described the UEFA Champions League win as a "great night" for the club but insisted it was not a season-defining moment and denied feeling any relief regarding his role as manager.
The "Red Devils" had a rocky start at Old Trafford, trailing 0-2 against Roma within the first 17 minutes. However, Carrick's team mounted an impressive comeback, scoring three goals in quick succession to secure the win, ending a three-game losing streak and marking their first victory in the last 10 games across all competitions.
Carrick expressed pride in his team's resilience but cautioned against assuming a return to top form. With Manchester United currently in 17th place in the Premier League, just above the relegation zone, he stressed the importance of building on this momentum as they prepare for a home match against Aston Villa before the November international break.
