Thiranan Nantakwang, Commander of the Military Intelligence Unit (Commander of the Military Intelligence Unit), Captain Banphot Nithinat-apasiri, Deputy Commander of the Naval Special Warfare Command, Fleet Operations, and Captain Wisut Ngiewlaem, Deputy Commander of the Air Force City, Narcotics Suppression Center, Royal Thai Air Force (Narcotics Suppression Center, Royal Thai Air Force), jointly announced the results of the arrest of 3 suspects who played a role as drug users and the orderers, along with 154 kilograms (440 bars) of heroin hidden under the seats of a van. The incide nt occurred at a gas station in Chai Nat Province. The search was expanded to 3 locations in Suphan Buri Province. (Residence, warehouse) Search results: no drugs or illegal items were found. Property seized included 10 cars, cash, gold bars, gold jewelry, amulets, land title deeds, total value approximately 7.6 million baht. Following the incident on 22 October at approximately 1:00 PM, the Narcotics Suppression Bureau of the Royal Thai Army (NSB) in collaboration with the Narcotics Suppression Bureau, the 3rd Army Area Command, and the Royal Thai Air Force arrested Mr. Wasan Buayiam, aged 54, and Mr. Nattawat Phengsuwan, aged 47, at the Bangchak gas station in Tambon Chainat, Amphoe Mueang Chainat, Chainat Province, along with evidence of Category 1 narcotics (heroin) totaling 220 pairs, weighing approximately 154 kg. The investigation then led to the arrest of Ms. Sumalee Theuan-areerak (the person who ordered the incident), aged 62, at house number 16/1, Village 4, Don Chedi Subdistrict, Don Chedi Distr ict, Suphan Buri Province. The officers pressed charges of jointly distributing Category 1 narcotics (heroin) for sale, which is an act for commercial purposes, without permission.
