According to Thai News Agency, Major General Winthai Suwaree, the spokesman for the Royal Thai Army, reported that the shooting occurred on June 17, 2026, at approximately 9:10 AM. The incident involved a clerk from the Kalasin City District Military Recruitment Office who used a handgun, leading to the death of a provincial military recruitment officer in his office. Local authorities and police are currently involved in gathering evidence to ensure that legal procedures are properly executed.
