Bangkok: The Ministry of Culture is gearing up to host the "National Cultural Festival: Colors of Thai," a grand event celebrating Thai culture, from September 2nd to 6th, 2026, at IMPACT Exhibition Hall 7-8, Muang Thong Thani. The festival promises a comprehensive experience of Thai culture with activities themed around "Eat, Travel, See, Try, and Learn."
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Prasop Riangngern, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, announced that the festival is designed to honor the Thai royal family and to promote cultural tourism, economic growth, and increased awareness of Thai arts and culture. This year's concept, "Unveiling the Vibrant Colors of Thai Culture from Every Region," integrates modern technology with traditional performing arts, culinary experiences, and cultural products.
The festival is divided into five main zones. The "Colors of Thai Heritage, Faith and Traditions" zone offers an immersive experience with a Smart Museum and interactive exhibitions. The "Colors of Thai Wisdom and Craftsmanship" zone showcases traditional knowledge and craftsmanship, with opportunities to learn and purchase items from over 100 vendors.
"Colors of Thai Performing Arts" features cultural performances, including traditional Thai shadow puppetry and concerts by renowned artists. The "Colors of Thai Flavors" zone highlights Thai culinary culture, offering tastings and cooking demonstrations. Lastly, "Colors of Inspiration" focuses on creative works inspired by the Thai royal family.
Mr. Prasop emphasized that the festival aims to promote Thai arts and culture internationally, stimulate the economy, and support local entrepreneurs and artists. Additional activities include a Newspaper Photo Booth, Stamp Rally, and "Culture for a Sustainable World" initiative, encouraging eco-friendly practices.
