According to Thai News Agency, the incident occurred in the evening on the Nakhon Nayok-Namtok Sarika road, Sarika Subdistrict, Mueang District, Nakhon Nayok Province. 17-year-old Worameth, a college student, was riding his motorcycle home after running errands when a cable caught his neck, causing a red mark and resulting in his motorcycle falling. He sustained injuries and was given first aid by rescue workers from Sarika Subdistrict before being transported to Nakhon Nayok Hospital for further treatment.
Local residents in the area reported that after heavy rain and strong winds, the cable may have snapped and hung down. Drivers passing by at night might not have seen it. Fortunately, the injured person was conscious and managed to grab onto the cable with their hand.
After doctors allowed him to return home, the victim appealed to the media for justice and also showed the media the location of the incident to warn others. A police report has been filed to have the police investigate and hold the owner of the cable responsible, as he has incurred medical expenses exceeding 20,000 baht.
