Bangkok: “Nana” Raibeena has expressed severe stress, requesting anti-anxiety medication and reaching out to her child in distress, as her husband, “Way,” remains absent amidst an ongoing investigation. Police are set to summon Way for questioning next week concerning his alleged involvement in a pyramid scheme investment scam.
According to Thai News Agency, Police Colonel Nittichot Penjamras, Commander of the Economic Crime Suppression Division, stated that during questioning, Nana Raibeena denied all charges and refrained from making a statement while awaiting her lawyer to gather further evidence. She appeared visibly stressed, resorting to taking anti-anxiety medication she had on hand. Concerned for her child, she requested and was granted a brief phone call.
There is currently no sign of contact or visits from her husband, Way Titanium. He is expected to provide testimony next week on several issues, particularly regarding his potential involvement in investment fraud and pyramid schemes.
An important piece of evidence in the case is the “Ledger Nano X” hardware wallet found at Nana Raibeena’s residence. It will be sent to experts for examination to determine its connection to the pyramid scheme, which involves deceiving victims into investing in digital currencies or cryptocurrencies, potentially as a means to disguise transactions and prevent government account freezes.
Preliminary investigations revealed no ties to online gambling, only the movement of funds related to the victims’ fundraising activities.
Additionally, the investigation into Suan Phueng Kingdom, a camping ground in Suan Phueng District, Ratchaburi Province, previously launched by Nana Raibeena and her husband, revealed that the land was leased for service rather than sold as private property.
