Bangkok: The National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) has unveiled the asset declaration of Mr. Narong Klanwarin, Chairman of the Election Commission, showing a net worth of 85 million baht.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Narong's financial disclosure upon taking office on August 30, 2025, indicates total assets of 85,099,109 baht against liabilities of 4,430,244 baht. His personal assets, worth 22,282,074 baht, include significant holdings such as 10,163,217 baht across six bank accounts and 4,541,356 baht in open-ended funds. He also owns land valued at 3.25 million baht in Bangkok and Chonburi Province, buildings worth 2.75 million baht, vehicles amounting to 500,000 baht, rights and concessions worth 700,000 baht, and other assets totaling 377,500 baht. Mr. Narong reported no liabilities.
His annual income is reported at 2,256,480 baht, with a breakdown including a salary of 966,480 baht, position allowance and entertainment allowance each at 510,000 baht, interest and dividends totaling 70,000 baht, and profits from stock sales amounting to 200,000 baht. His annual expenses are 560,000 baht, covering personal expenses and support for his mother.
Ms. Charinphat, Mr. Narong's wife, declared assets worth 62,817,034 baht. Her holdings include 13 bank accounts with 2,702,954 baht, investments in credit unions and government bonds totaling 2,591,900 baht, and nine plots of land valued at 47,228,500 baht spread across multiple provinces. She also possesses buildings valued at 8.96 million baht, vehicles worth 600,000 baht, and other assets totaling 733,680 baht. Her debts include a bank loan with a balance of 4,430,154 baht and minor credit card debt. Her annual income stands at 425,984 baht, with expenses amounting to 378,016 baht.
The declaration also lists luxury items such as two Rolex watches valued at 800,000 baht, gold jewelry, amulets, gemstones, and firearms, adding to the couple's notable collection of personal assets.
