Nephew of Former Mayor Thongchai Enters Nonthaburi Mayoral Race as Leading Candidate

Nonthaburi: Number 1 candidate, Naruephon Yenprasert, has officially entered the race for the Nonthaburi Provincial Administrative Organization (PAO) mayoral election, securing the top spot in the contest. As the nephew of the late former mayor Thongchai Yenprasert, Naruephon has committed to carrying forward his uncle's legacy.

According to Thai News Agency, today marked the second day of candidate registration for the Nonthaburi PAO chairmanship. Registration is scheduled from August 17th to 21st, between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM, at the Nonthaburi PAO office located in Bang Krasor Subdistrict, Mueang District. Naruephon was the first candidate to submit his registration documents, earning him the number one position. The event was charged with energy as the "Bee Group" supporters gathered to show their enthusiasm and backing for his candidacy.

Naruephon emphasized his commitment to continuing the initiatives his uncle had started, focusing on key areas such as education, public health, and environmental policies. He expressed confidence in his campaign strategy, highlighting the preparedness and unity of his "Bee Group" team. He aims to engage closely with the community to reinforce public trust in his leadership to uphold Mayor Thongchai's work. Naruephon also conveyed his lack of concern regarding competition from other parties, maintaining a focus on his campaign efforts.

Ms. Phansaporn Yenprasert, daughter of the former mayor, expressed her support for Naruephon's candidacy. She mentioned that the Phueng Luang group will soon unveil their policies and urged the public to back her brother, acknowledging his qualifications to lead the PAO while respecting her own period of mourning.

At 9:00 AM, another candidate, General Nipon Seetabutr, registered as an independent. He expressed his vision for the development of Nonthaburi, leveraging its proximity to Bangkok. Although he is not affiliated with any party, Nipon assured his dedication to represent and aid the community. He indicated no concerns about competing against established groups like the Phueng Luang group and the Prachachon Party, committing to putting forth his best efforts in the election.
