North Korea Fires Multiple Rocket Launchers into Yellow Sea

Seoul: North Korea fired multiple rocket launchers into the sea west of the Korean Peninsula on Tuesday, as confirmed by South Korea’s Defense Ministry on Wednesday. The ministry reported that the South Korean military detected several artillery rockets being launched into the northern waters of the Yellow Sea at around 3:00 PM on Tuesday, which corresponds to 1:00 PM Thailand time.

According to Thai News Agency, South Korean and US intelligence agencies are currently analyzing the characteristics of these rockets. The South Korean military released a statement emphasizing its close monitoring of North Korea’s activities, supported by a strong joint defense readiness between South Korea and the United States. The military reiterated its commitment to maintaining superior capabilities and readiness to respond to any provocations from North Korea.

This recent activity follows an incident on November 7, when North Korea fired a missile into the sea off its east coast. This action came after North Korea condemned new US sanctions imposed on North Korean individuals and entities that the United States alleges are involved in money laundering schemes linked to cybercrime.
