Phuket: Phuket is preparing to host a parade and performances to mark the opening ceremony of the Thailand Biennale Phuket 2025. Preparations for the opening of “Thailand Biennale Phuket 2025” this morning at Saphan Hin Public Park in Mueang District, Phuket Province, are underway. Many parties are working diligently to prepare for the grand opening of Thailand Biennale Phuket, organized by the Office of Contemporary Art and Culture, Ministry of Culture, in collaboration with Phuket Province, the Phuket Provincial Administrative Organization, the Phuket Art Association, and government and private agencies. The event will showcase international contemporary art by over 65 Thai and international artists from 25 countries across the globe at 19 key locations in Phuket. The event aims to promote all forms of art and establish Phuket as a world-class art city. The theme of “Eternal Eternity” aims to raise awareness of the deterioration of consumption, technological and social developments that impact the fragile b
alance of life on Earth, and encourages conservation efforts for nature. The event will run until April 2026.
According to Thai News Agency, this evening’s opening ceremony will feature a parade, introducing the event’s mascot, “Bianfu,” and special musical and singing performances by youth groups from across Phuket. One of the preparations for the event is a rehearsal for a welcoming performance by the Phuket Youth Wind Ensemble, a group of children from primary school to high school who have auditioned and practiced for a full year to showcase their talents. This event is the first stage to promote the talents of local children, leading to national and potentially global collaborations in the future.
