Hat yai: The Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) has announced an ambitious plan to enhance electricity supply across the Hat Yai area, with implementation scheduled for November 30, 2025. The initiative aims to address both the current and future electricity needs of the region, ensuring a robust and reliable power supply.
According to Thai News Agency, the PEA’s plan involves several key actions. Firstly, the authority will facilitate the payment for electricity at the main line located on Satchakul Road and Choksamankun Road. Additionally, the plan includes the distribution of separate power lines to comprehensively cover all areas of the Hat Yai District, thereby improving the overall distribution network’s reach and efficiency.
Further, the PEA will supply power to the transformer line of the overhead distribution system on Nuanchan Road, Prachathipat Road, Pracharak Road, and Pracharom Road. This step is crucial in reinforcing the infrastructure that supports electricity distribution in the area.
In places where electricity has already been supplied, the PEA is set to fix broken meters, ensuring that all consumers receive accurate billing. The authority also plans to replace a total of 6,863 meters on Niphat Uthit Road 1, 2, 3, Sanehanosorn Road (in entirety), and parts of District 8.
Moreover, the PEA will conduct checks on public lighting systems and change breakers on Niphat Uthit Road 1, 2, 3, and all of Sanehanosorn Road to maintain safety and operational efficiency. These comprehensive measures are expected to significantly improve the reliability and quality of electricity supply in Hat Yai.
