Hat yai: “Pimpattra” led the team to organize “Khon Kaen Kitchen: True Love Never Abandon Each Other” to help Hat Yai, mobilizing the people of Khon Kaen to set up a field kitchen to deliver food to disaster victims. Ms. Pimpattra Wichaikul, a Member of Parliament for Nakhon Si Thammarat District 10, spearheaded this initiative in response to the severe flooding that has impacted Hat Yai in Songkhla Province, causing shortages of cooked food and essential supplies.
According to Thai News Agency, a large caravan, including a ten-wheel truck filled with complete field kitchen equipment, fresh and dried food ingredients, and various provisions, departed from Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. The team, consisting of 20 skilled volunteer cooks, took over five hours to reach the Hat Yai District, where they promptly set up the kitchen system upon arrival.
Ms. Pimpattra emphasized the solidarity between the people of Nakhon Si Thammarat and Songkhla, stating that they cannot abandon each other in times of need. The “Khon Kaen Kitchen: True Love Never Abandons Each Other” campaign aims to provide continuous daily food production starting this morning, delivering freshly cooked meals to affected communities in Hat Yai.
She expressed her gratitude to all supporting sectors in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, including the Sichon Lion Club, the Khanom, Sichon, and Thasala Districts’ village headmen’s clubs, as well as local residents who contributed rice, fresh food, seasonings, and other resources to aid in the construction of “Khon Kaen Kitchen.”
