Bangkok: The Commander of Provincial Police Region 1 has concluded that the evidence clearly shows “Nutpong” committed suicide. A re-examination of his residence in Bang Kruai revealed consistent evidence, including the location of the cyanide packets, CCTV footage, and witness statements.
According to Thai News Agency, Pol. Lt. Gen. Wattana Yijin, Commander of Provincial Police Region 1, summarized the case of the death of Mr. Nattawut Ponglangka, or “Natpong,” a reporter from a well-known TV channel, who died inside his home in Bang Kruai after drinking cyanide to end his life. Following a second search of the house on December 11th, officers found consistent evidence, including the location of the cyanide packets, CCTV footage, and witness statements.
Initially, charges have been filed against “Mr. Kitti,” the sole person who supplied the cyanide to the deceased, for possessing a Category 3 hazardous substance without permission. Regarding “Ice, the police inspector,” who removed the cyanide from the scene, authorities are currently considering his intent and circumstances on a case-by-case basis. No additional charges have been filed against any witnesses or other individuals at this time.
