Prachachon Party Confirms Commitment to Parliamentary Scrutiny, Rejects Street Protests.

Bangkok: "Prits" has confirmed that the Prachachon Party will not engage in street protests, emphasizing their commitment to scrutinizing the government through parliamentary mechanisms. This statement comes in response to comments by Mr. Nattawut Saikua, advisor to the Prime Minister, who suggested that some supporters of the Prachachon Party might join Mr. Sonthi Limthongkul's movement to oust the government. According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Panusaya Wacharasindhu, a party list MP and spokesman for the Prachachon Party, addressed the speculation by Mr. Nattawut regarding potential involvement of Prachachon Party supporters in Mr. Sonthi's activities. Mr. Panusaya emphasized that while the party respects the right to assembly as a fundamental democratic principle, their focus remains on fulfilling their role as the opposition in the House of Representatives. This involves monitoring the government's activities on matters of public interest, such as the justice process, MOU 44, and the Khao Kradong land is sue, through parliamentary processes. Regarding internal matters, Mr. Prisht confirmed that the People's Party MPs will not resort to street protests and remain committed to parliamentary oversight. Additionally, he touched upon the recent petition to change the bail of Ms. Ratchanok Srinok, following Mr. Chaithawat Tulathan's removal from his MP position. Mr. Prisht assured that the change in bail was handled legally, although specifics were not disclosed.
