Local Public Health and Environment Division Established by Ministry of Interior.

Bangkok: Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, chaired the 1/2024 meeting of the Ministry of Interior's Civil Service Structure Development Committee, which approved the establishment of the Local Public Health and Environment Division. This division aims to support the role of the Public Health Office in promoting public health services. According to Thai News Agency, the meeting, attended by executives from the Ministry of Interior and relevant agencies, focused on supporting the Department of Local Administration in managing public health and environmental services efficiently. This move aligns with the government's mission to enhance the structure and functionality of local public health systems. Additionally, the meeting agreed to rename the "Provincial Local Administration Promotion Office" to "Provincial Local Administration Office" across all 76 provinces. This change is intended to align with the division of government agencies within the National Local Administra tion.
