Bangkok: The Minister of Defence and the Commander-in-Chief of the Army met with the Prime Minister to report on the situation along the Thai-Cambodian border. Urgent developments prompted "Big Dul" (Minister of Defence) to escort "Big Pu" (Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra) for a critical meeting at Government House.
According to Thai News Agency, the Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul was also present at Government House. At 9:00 AM, Ms. Xian Hui, Vice Chairperson of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and her delegation paid a courtesy call during their visit to Thailand. Shortly after, at 9:55 AM, Minister of Defence Lieutenant General Adul Boonthamcharoen arrived with General Phana Klaewplodthuk, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army. They requested an urgent meeting with the Prime Minister at Khu Fah Building without prior notice.
Speculation surrounds the purpose of the meeting, with many believing it to be related to the border situation. However, it remains unclear whether discussions focused on the Thai-Cambodian border, the southern border, or other pressing security issues.
