Hat yai: The Prime Minister, along with his economic team, traveled to Hat Yai to devise a comprehensive post-flood recovery strategy. Avoiding media interactions, he swiftly boarded the plane while nodding in agreement that measures would be implemented to aid with consumer goods.
According to Thai News Agency, the Prime Minister, accompanied by Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Ekniti Nitithanpraphas, and Commerce Minister Suphajee Suthumpun, visited Hat Yai District in Songkhla Province. Their mission was to assess the flood impact and outline recovery measures for affected residents. This visit included a meeting focused on the Hat Yai City recovery plan involving both public and private sectors, marking the Prime Minister’s fifth visit to a flood-affected region.
Upon arrival, the Prime Minister bypassed the press area to greet civil servants. When questioned about potential assistance, he merely nodded before promptly boarding his plane. Ms. Suphajee affirmed the commitment to establish concrete support measures.
The Prime Minister’s itinerary in Hat Yai involved a visit to the Disaster Relief Center at the 4th Army Region Forward Command to review disaster assistance efforts. He also engaged in discussions on the recovery plan with local business owners and assessed the damage in the Kim Yong market area. Following a meeting at the Buri Sriphu Hotel to discuss business challenges and support strategies, he visited Niphat Uthit 3 Road, the site of a significant cleanup effort initiated on November 29th. The Prime Minister and his team planned to return to Bangkok upon concluding their activities in Hat Yai.
