Hat yai: PTT Public Company Limited (PTT) and PTT Oil and Retail Business Public Company Limited (OR) are actively preparing a recovery plan to assist flood victims in Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province, implementing crucial relief measures to address the disaster’s impact.
According to Thai News Agency, the recovery plan encompasses rescue operations and the transportation of essential supplies to the affected areas. PTT and OR will provide oil change services for motorcycles, cars, ambulances, and rescue vehicles impacted by the floods. Additionally, they will distribute Caf© Amazon products to support the residents and officials working tirelessly in the region.
OR has set in motion plans to offer oil change services for 2,500 flood-affected motorcycles from December 1-30, 2025, at four PTT Stations: Kitthaworn Co., Ltd. 2018, S.B. Auto Sales Co., Ltd., Sap Oil Petroleum Co., Ltd., and Hat Yai Airport Branch. For automobiles, oil changes will be available for 500 vehicles at the FIT Auto service center in Songkhla. A team of expert technicians will provide inspections and maintenance, including oil and fluid changes, along with advice on vehicle operation post-flood, ensuring safe and confident driving resumption.
Further, OR has established five rescue centers serving as shelters and service points for inspecting and repairing damaged household LPG tanks and stoves. Efforts are also underway to expedite the restoration of PTT stations affected by the floods.
In support of medical personnel, PTT and OR donated 3,240 bottles of Caf© Amazon ready-to-drink coffee to Hat Yai Hospital. Previously, OR distributed relief bags and over 20,000 bottles of Caf© Amazon mineral water through the Army Development Command, Royal Thai Armed Forces Headquarters, to alleviate initial distress. PTT contributed cooking gas to the Prince of Songkla University evacuation center and royal kitchens in the southern region, and donated 200,000 baht in gas cards to the Royal Thai Air Force for relief operations.
This extensive support underscores PTT and OR’s dedication to supporting the Thai community, collaborating with government and other agencies to mitigate impacts, restore quality of life, and assist disaster-affected areas in returning to normalcy swiftly, aiming to overcome the crisis collectively.
