PTT wins the Sustainability and Innovation Achievement Award from the SET Awards 2024, reflecting business excellence. Dr. Kongkrapan Intarajang, Chief Executive Officer and President of PTT Public Company Limited (PTT), revealed that PTT received 2 awards from the SET Awards 2024 organized by the Stock Exchange of Thailand and Banking Finance Magazine, including the Sustainability Awards of Honor and the Innovation Awards of Honor, reflecting PTT's intention to emphasize sustainable business management in all dimensions. Investment must benefit both the organization and the country, as well as build confidence in all sectors and create synergy within the PTT Group under the vision of 'PTT, strong together with Thai society and growing sustainably globally.' This is PTT's 4th year of receiving the Sustainability Awards of Honor, which is a result of its commitment to operations that has led to continuous Best Sustainability Awards. PTT adheres to the main mission of creating energy security and integrating sustainability into the business to achieve the goal of net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 by integrating management of the entire PTT Group through the C3 operational guidelines: Climate Resilience Business, adjusting the portfolio and considering carbon emissions along with business growth; Carbon-Conscious Asset, improving production efficiency, using clean energy such as hydrogen, introducing new technologies in the production process, and transforming carbon dioxide into new products (Carbon Capture and Utilization: CCU), etc.; Coalition, Co-Creation, and Collective Efforts for All, coordinating with stakeholders, as the country's core in developing infrastructure and technology to reduce greenhouse gases, using Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) technology, and increasing carbon dioxide absorption through natural methods through planting and maintaining forests. For the SET Awards of Honor, PTT has received the Best Innovative Company Awards for 4 consecutive years: in 2021, it received the award for the development of the Innaqua bio-cellulose composite wound dressing innovation, in 2022, it received the award for the PTT EV Charger and Charging Platform innovation, in 2023, it received the award for the PTT SCR catalyst innovation, and this year, it is the development of the 'PTT MicroHX Microscale Heat Exchanger Innovation' that helps increase energy efficiency in industrial estates by utilizing waste energy in the form of heat or cold, recirculating it back into the process (Energy Recovery), which can significantly reduce energy costs and carbon emissions, as well as help reduce the environmental impact on society and communities, reduce dependence on foreign technology, and increase competitiveness at both the industrial and national levels. It is also a new innovation that has been patented, with more than 40 patents in 9 countries: the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, China, Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Myanmar, and India, which is currently commercially installed at a rubber glove facto ry. Chonburi Province and PTT LNG Company Limited (PTTLNG) for use in the LNG Terminal 1 project at Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate, Rayong Province.
