Bangkok: People wait to pay their respects to the royal urn of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, with gratitude for her great kindness. Today, the Bureau of the Royal Household will allow the public to pay their respects to the royal urn until 2:00 PM. Screening points will close at 1:00 PM due to the Royal Cremation Ceremony at 5:00 PM at the Amarin Winitchai Throne Hall in the Grand Palace. This has led to a long line of people waiting since morning to pay their respects to the royal urn. They express their gratitude for His Majesty’s numerous royal duties, which have improved the quality of life and livelihoods of the Thai people in every region across the country. This includes, in particular, the preservation of Thai arts, culture, and handicrafts, which have helped promote careers and foster pride in Thai culture. He also prioritizes the conservation of natural resources and the environment.
According to Thai News Agency, along the route, there are officials from the Royal Household Bureau and volunteers from various agencies providing assistance and advice. There are also medical units and nurses from various hospitals providing care, along with drinking water service points.
Travelers from other provinces are advised to check their preparedness before departing, prepare and carry their national ID card at all times, prepare medication for those with underlying medical conditions, provide appropriate attire for paying respects to the Royal Urn, and provide a contact telephone number for the elderly or children for convenience and safety.
